The Countdown to our Total Solar Eclipse...
Totality Starts Monday, April 8, @ 1:34pm.
Dripping Springs will be in the totality for 3-minutes!
Because the total solar eclipse is such a unique event, we can expect a greater number of visitors to Dripping Springs, not only to watch the once-in-a-lifetime event in our city, but also as people travel through our area to get to other eclipse destinations. A group of community stakeholders and organizations is helping plan for the big event. The City, Chamber of Commerce, Destination Dripping Springs, Emergency Management Organizations, Dripping Springs ISD, and more are meeting regularly to help make our once-in-a-lifetime event memorable and safe.
This site is designed to give residents, businesses and visitors everything they need to know regarding the eclipses. Check back often as it will be updated periodically.

The total solar eclipse begins Monday, April 8, 2024, at 12:16 pm in Dripping Springs - that's when the partial eclipse starts here in Dripping.
The TOTALITY starts in Dripping Springs at 1:34pm and lasts for 3 minutes before going into a partial eclipse mode again.
Then, the eclipse totally ends at 2:57pm.
